Sheriff Shawn Price

Sheriff Shawn Price has been a part of the Pawnee County community since moving here in 1978. He graduated from Cleveland Public Schools in 1988 and attended basic training and AIT in Fort Benning, GA to serve in the Oklahoma National Guard 45th Infantry Division.

His career in law enforcement began in 1991 as a jailer and then a deputy of Sheriff Leroy Bryant and continued for 34 years.

During this time, he served the community as a deputy, a dispatcher for the Oklahoma Highway Patrol Troop K and worked through the ranks to Deputy Warden and Policy Compliance Officer within the Oklahoma Department of Corrections. Additionally, Sheriff Price is a CLEET certified firearms instructor and has trained officers statewide and nationally as patrol/narcotic canine handlers and drug interdiction.
